Horrible story about the development and exploits of a serial killer, in some considerable detail. Personally, I can’t understand why anybody would want to write anything like this. Hard to describe the writing. It is unsophisticated, straight-forward, and mostly describes things like atmosphere and feelings in a voiceless and detached way, but just detailed enough that you almost feel immersed in the moments. Ultimately I found the work more boring than horrific, though the storyline has just enough features to keep it intriguing, to keep the pages turning. |
