• Get rid of initrd
• Get rid of all kernel modules, make it monolithic
• Get rid of Grub; boot kernel straight from UEFI
• Encrypt the root filesystem
• Get rid of duplicate and redundant libraries
  • glibc
  • anything related to X11
  • anything related to CUPS
• Specify all the services in the GUIX configuration:
  • nginx, exim, dovecot
  • our middleware web servers
• Make it easier to perform the configurations needed above
• Find other ways to make everything smaller
