| If I remember rightly: a planet is going to be destroyed by an asteroid, and the population fractures into two groups. The first climb on board another asteroid which is heading out to space, and the second group fit rockets to their planet to blast them out of the way of the incoming asteroid. Eventually they meet up. Or I may have got that completely wrong, I can't really remember.
I do remember it being a good read, with lots of plausible science fiction and good interactions between the cast. |
