5.2.3.2 get-software-version

get-software-version (port)

This procedure simply returns a string which is sent from the firmware on the robot controller board informing of the firmware version number.

If the robot has just been started up, it may be necessary to use this command twice to obtain a response.

The single argument is the port to which the command must be sent (if you followed the instructions this would be ‘‘/dev/robot’’, but you may choose to have your robot connected elsewise).
